After the Trade ban from the United States Department of Commerce and the Federal Embargo, Huawei is facing deep troubles with the partnership and the companies. After Google’s Breakup with Huawei, the company is facing another problem as the SD Association has decided to cut the ties with Chinese smartphone manufacturer. In the recent meeting of the SD Association, the decision of removing Huawei from the association was passed, and now, the company cannot use any of the SD Cards technology in the upcoming smartphones. The SD Association has confirmed that the decision was taken to comply with the Federal Executive Order signed by President Trump, that bars Huawei from Trading with any United States based company or an association. This decision does not mean that the devices having MicroSD or SD card facility will have to look for other options. But from now on, Huawei will have to look for different standards as the company is not allowed to use SD and MicroSD card standard in future smartphones and other devices. Not just the SD Association, but all of the big companies like Google, Qualcomm, Broadcom, Intel, ARM, and even Wifi Association has stopped working with Huawei or Temporarily Restricted the same. Even though Huawei has the lifetime license for reproducing the ARM chips for its smartphones, the company would not receive further updates with the device and would have to do further improvements on its own.
